General Questions

What is a Repipe?

A complete replacement of your entire water distribution system

How long does a typical repipe job take?

Repipe Pros dispatches large crews that will normally complete a repipe of a smaller home in only a day. Larger homes can take 2 to 3 days to complete. Most companies will take a week or more to complete a Repipe without restoration.

Are you Licensed, Insured and Bonded?

Yes, we will provide you a copy of our Insurance at the time of estimate.

Do I Have To Be Home During The Repipe?

Not necessarily, but we do encourage our customers to be there whenever possible. Most customers are amazed with ourlevel of professionalism and efficiency.

Will I be without water?

Yes, on an intermittent basis, but your water will be turned on at the end of the day.

Repipe Process Questions

Will You Cover My Floors And Furniture To Keep Them From The Dust?

Yes, on the day of the repipe we walk through and cover as much as possible. We use a combination of materials to cover floors and furniture.

Do You Patch Walls That You Open During The Repipe?

Yes, we patch all walls that we opened during the repipe. We do not paint.

What If I Want To Patch My Own Walls?

Not a problem. This can lower your overall Repipe cost.

Other Companies Have stated we would need to make large openings and break into tiled walls?

For many plumbing companies, repiping is done occasionally and not regularly. As a consequence, many contractors make larger openings and break into tile walls to make their jobs easier. After all, most contractors don’t patch the walls, leaving you to hire an additional contractor to perform the restoration. Since Repipe Pros does the restoration, we surgically open walls using technics to open as little as possible. In most cases, we can avoid opening up tiled walls.

Material Questions

What Material Do You Recommend For The Repipe Of My Home?

The material we recommend for your home depends on your local building codes. We use either copper pipe or PEX (polyethylene cross-linked)

PEX vs COPPER

PEX allows for a faster and less invasive installation because it’s a flexible material. PEX is also more insulating, so the cold water and hot water are colder. PEX is unaffected by Chloramines. Chloramines are disinfectants added to our water supply that can cause low-quality copper to fail. Copper is a tried and true material widely used in water distribution systems. It is essential that copper piping is correctly installed. Improperly installed copper can fail within 5 years. However, when installing copper, it’s also very important to install high-grade USA-made copper. Repipe Pros only uses certified installers and the highest grade USA-made Type L & K copper, and Upinor Type A Pex

Does The Repipe Include New Shut Off Valves and feed lines to my fixtures?

Yes, new ¼ turn shut off valves & Feed lines will be installed for every sink, toilet, faucet and your washing machine. Wealso install a new main shut off valve (were the water enters the house), a new shut off valve for your water heater, And wewill install frost free hose bibs on the exterior of your home. That’s a small sample of what we include when we repipeyour house. Our certified estimator will provide you more detail. Call us to schedule an appointment and we will show youthe above mentioned materials and walk you through our complete repipe process.

Warranty Questions

Will The Repipe Come With Any Kind Of A Warranty?

Yes. All of our installed repipes come with a lifetime warranty. The warranty is also one time transferable at no additionalcharge to a new owner. After the repipe, should you decide to sell your home this will be a great selling point. At the timeof estimate, our certified estimator will provide you a copy of our warranty with other valuable and informative informa-tion.

What If The Work Does Not Pass City Inspection?

We are responsible for passing city inspection on the work we’re contracted to perform, and we will make the necessary corrections to pass inspection at no additional charge to you the owner. Now, if the city inspector calls out things that are not up to code that have nothing to do with the repipe contract, such as; windows, electrical, structural, etc. Then at that point it will be the homeowners’ responsibility to comply and bring that section to city code as specified by the inspector.
